Here is the schedule for our trip to Mexico.
- July 8
- We leave church at 3:45am. Our plane leaves Chicago O'Hare
airport at 8:00 am, arriving in Mexico City at 12:00 pm. We
depart Mexico City at 3:45 pm, arriving in Tuxtla, Gutierrez at 5:30
pm. We will drive by bus to San Cristobol de Las Casas and stay
in a hotel there.
- July 9
- After breakfast, we travel to Buena Vista, arrive midday or
early afternoon, settle into the church where we will be staying. We
will have lunch and check out the work site, church, and own, and
receive orientation and instructions from the pastor.
- July 10
- We will take part in the worship service in the morning.
In the evening, the church will have an open air service. Pastor Tim
will give the message.
- July 11
- We will be working to help build a church. We expect to
build two bathrooms and shower facilities.
- July 12
- We will work in the morning and visit a mission in the
afternoon. We will be working with children on crafts we brought from
Michigan.
- July 13
- We will again work in the morning and visit a mission in
the afternoon. We will be worshipping in an area church at night.
- July 14
- Again...work during the morning. We will possibly be at the
mission in the afternoon, or we may work constuction all day. In the
evening there will be a farewell service for the group.
- July 15
- We will leave after breakfast for Tuxtla, stopping off for
some recreation.
- July 16
- We will leave for airport after breakfast. We will arrive
in Chicago at 6:40 pm.
