Sunday, July 16: Missions Trips Should Not Be This Much Fun!

Day 2 was a great day down in Hattiesburg. Although Church didn't start until 11 we still were on our Michigan time clocks and got up pretty early. That gave us time to eat, shower, and have some pretty  intense games of "Set Back" (a new card game we learned). We had a very intense and moving time at Church (which lasted 2 1/2 hours).

For the rest of the day we ate, played a mean game of Wiffle Ball, had a brief orientation with our Volunteer Coordinator  Erica (see picture below she is on the left), and a 2 hour time of devotions (we talked about our pentecostal church experience and Pastor Emmanuel shared his testimony with us). All in all it was a great day. As I write this there is two vans going to Sonic for a food run (But Pastor Jim is watching his diet and he "just said no"). Tomorrow all the fun stops and we head out into the heat. We will be clearing debris and painting.

We miss you all and everybody is well.
