Monday, July 17: The Work Begins
We got started with our Katrina Restoration today. The organization we are working with found a home for a woman who had lost her home in the Hurricane. Our job today and tomorrow was/will be to paint every wall, clean the house, pick up the yard, and add any extra touches we can think of. We actually got off to a slow start as our Contractor was late to get us. In addtion, we also had to go and pick up supplies. Check out the movie to see how we passed the time (creative group!)
Aleesa and Kathy went to the office of 3RSM to do some clerical work. When we got back Dot and Edna had cleaned the house, did the laundry, and had dinner ready (shredded chicken sandwiches).Our worship time was very meaningful. And as always we found a new game to play - Kitchen bowling - and Edna owned all of us!
