Tuesday, July 18: Project Completed!

We completed our first project today. We finished painting, cleaning, and clearing debris at the home on Montague Street. Our coordinators were very pleased with the work we accomplished and we felt good about it too. After taking a farewell photo, we drove to the home of the woman and her family who will be living there. The house they were living in before was destroyed by the hurricane, see the picture below.

We got back to our house and quickly changed because we went bowling! (After last nights kitchen bowling, we decided to give the real thing a try :) Someone in the group rolled a 150, but we don't want to let you know because after our lesson on the fruit of the spirit, we thought that he needed more humility. (Sorry Matt Z)

Dot and Edna fixed a delicious meal for us. It included: ham, baked potatoes, fresh green beans, rolls, tomatoes, and cookies.

Tomorrow we start a new project in a rural area about 30 miles outside of Hattiesburg. Everyone is well and we continue to enjoy one another's company.

Thank you for your continued prayers.
